What is the Sweet Pea Favorites seal and why is it so great?
We love promoting products that we love! In fact, we travel to trade shows, have meetings with manufacturers and hunt for the newest-latest-greatest baby gear and goods. We also love to promote local mom and dad created products and support local business in all of our Sweet Pea markets. So… in an effort to accomplish this and allow all new families to benefit from what we’ve found, in 2008 we released our official seal of approval. Now, new parents everywhere can see this seal and know that it is one of our favorite products!
Who can receive the seal?
It was most important to us that our seal did not end up lost in a line with all the others. Many companies and organizations have a “seal of approval” program and why was ours special? Great question… Sweet Pea Baby Planner’s Favorites Seal of approval is reserved for very special candidates and not all products qualify. It is reserved for products created by parents for parents, those which meet a need/innovative and perform as promised and those who’s companies have exceptional customer service. These guidelines were established in an effort to truly find, honor and recognize new products hitting the market that we believe new parents will love.
What the seal is not!
You will never see our seal on car seats, diaper bags or strollers (unless they are extremely innovative). Ours is the “boutique seal of approval” and cannot be bought! In fact, unlike other seal programs, manufacturers cannot buy our affection. With extreme popularity and in order to manage product submissions, we have needed to hire support for in-house logistics and only charge an administrative fee to cover our costs. We believe that it is in our clients’ best interest that we can review products and deliver our educated opinion.
Additionally, we take great pride in reviewing products and releasing our seal. We know that this is a direct reflection of our company and we take great care in this process. With this, we cannot and will not guarantee the safety of a product carrying our seal. The seal is not a promise of safety in any capacity and many products (even those considered most safe) cannot be guaranteed by our company. Please take all precautions when purchasing any baby related good and use at your own discretion. This of course is our “required” public service announcement. Please be responsible in your own purchases and usage of all baby products and goods.
